space150 Holiday Card #Gives $1,390 to PACER Center; Sends 11 #Receive -rs $10 and #Coal

Filed In: Creative and Strategy, Media and Social, News & Culture

Earlier this week, we shared our holiday [social experiment] card. It lived in a bus shelter ad, blog post, and social media posts, and asking people a simple question: is it better to #give or to #receive? Answers were sent to space150's Twitter, and those who chose to #give had a donation made in their name to fight cyberbullying through Pacer's National Bullying Prevention Center. Those who chose to #receive got a bit of playful grief on Twitter, along with a check for $10 mailed to them (and a lump of #coal from St. Nick).

We had no formal hypothesis, but hoped for a lot of #give -rs, which is exactly what we got. We launched mid-morning on Monday, and reached 150+ tweets that afternoon. Check out the results below along with some fun bonus pics. A HUGE thank you to to more than 200 people who participated in this, and we hope that if you chose to #give after we reached 150 tweets, that this inspires you to give in other ways.
